Wisconsin Iron: Home of the Fond du Lac, Amboy & Peoria Railway
Welcome to Wisconsin Iron, home of the Fond du Lac, Amboy & Peoria Railway. The FAP was a narrow-gauge line that operated in central Wisconsin from 1874 to its acquisition by the Milwaukee Road in 1883. The FAP connected the city of Fond du Lac to the standard gauge Milwaukee Road near present day Iron Ridge. The FAP served the iron mines of Dodge County and the iron furnaces of Mayville. Find out more about this fascinating, short-lived narrow gauge railroad!
